1. Purpose: To prevent conflict minerals in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its adjacent areas from being used on our raw materials.
2. Scope of application: This system applies to all raw materials purchased by our company.
3. Content
3.1 Definition
Conflict Minerals refer to metals such as gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), cobalt (Co), and tin (Sn), which come from the mining areas controlled by non-governmental military groups or non-military factions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The illegal mining profits obtained by local military groups were stolen from citizens and violate human rights lead to environmental degradation in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
3.2 Specification
The raw materials used in our products do not contain gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W), cobalt (Co) and other metals. This company strictly abides by the electronic industry code of conduct and only purchases materials from suppliers who sell environmentally friendly raw material, requiring raw material suppliers to sign the Statement on Sustainable Development.
Implement Supplier Metal Non-Conflict Purchasing Requirements for Suppliers to ensure that our suppliers have been verified as complying with metal conflict-free in the Democratic Republic of Congo and that they have been included in the “EICC-GeSI Conflict-Free Smelter” (CFS).
